The Market is the heart of Bruges, the Burg is its soul. It has been the centre of power of the city for centuries. The Bruges city council still has its seat in the 14th-century gothic City Hall.

In 1245, the princely beguinage Ten Wijngaarde with its white-painted façades and tranquil cloister garden was founded.

Despite being one of Bruges' youngest bridges, it sums up the city perfectly: a mysterious atmosphere, plenty of romance and amazing views vying for your attention.
