The charming fisherman's cottage, transformed into a cozy museum in 2003, offers a fascinating look at the historical development of Koksijde. Of course, there is also plenty of attention given to the beloved comic character Jommeke. The museum is furnished with authentic furniture from the historian Karel Loppens (1875-1962), known for his research on the Ten Duinen abbey site.
A visit to this museum is anything but boring, as Jommeke himself welcomes you along with his faithful friend Flip. Through original drawings by Jef Nys and his granddaughter, as well as old postcards, they make a journey back in time possible. For the youngest visitors, there is a hands-on workshop where they can go on an adventure in the Jommeke House.
Enjoy a relaxing visit to the fisherman's cottage with the whole family.
