Walking or cycling in the Uitkerkse Polder
Located between Blankenberge, Wenduine, Nieuwmunster and Zuienkerke, you will find the Uitkerkse Polder, an ancient meadow landscape with numerous ditches and dozens of cattle drinking pools. It is the most important meadow bird area in Flanders. Both during summer and winter it is a huge attraction for many rare birds. Ideal for bird spotters or even just nature lovers.
The visitor's centre is the ideal starting point for a nice bike ride or walk in the area. There are various walking routes from 1 km to 7.70 km and also a 16.5 km cycle route.Â
Activities are often planned and they always start and end at the visitor centre. Moreover, there is free parking there.
