Welcome to Middelkerke! You and your dog can enjoy the beach all year round, especially in the dog zone from Carlton to the border with Oostende. Dogs are allowed to roam freely on this stretch of beach. Additionally, there are three other areas where dogs are welcome:

Along Louis Logierlaan, west of the sports beach, where dogs must remain on a leash with a length of 10 meters.
From the extension of Sluisvaartstraat to the border with Oostende, where dogs can roam freely.
The last zone is located between Idyllelaan and the border with Nieuwpoort, where dogs also need to be kept on a leash of 10 meters

Every healthy dog needs to be able to let off some steam. Dogs are social and like to play with other dogs. That is why the Agency for Nature and Forests has created a dog area in the Bulskampveld provincial domain.

At the 'Den Doorn' site along the Diksmuidse Heirweg, dogs and their owners can enjoy the dog-walking area to their heart's content.

In Prince Mauritspark (at the corner of Dienstweg Havengeul & Louisweg), dogs can run around freely and meet other four-legged friends. The large meadow is fenced off to create a safe environment.
