Discover Bruges by carriage
Let one of the thirteen carriages take you along winding cobblestone roads, centuries-old bridges, the canals of Bruges and majestic and cosy squares.
The carriages depart from the Grote Markt, except on Wednesday morning, when they depart from the Burg. They take you along some of the highlights of Bruges for half an hour. On the way, the waggoner will explain what you see.
The Wijngaardplein, near the Begijnhof, is the regular stop. The horses get a little break and you can stretch your legs there as well. The tour ends on the Grote Markt.
Coach rides can be compared to taxi rides. You wait on the Grote Markt until a carriage is available. You get on and pay the driver directly. Are there no carriages? Don't worry, they will all be out and about for a little while.
By default, carriages only run during the day, but in high season and/or when the weather is nice, the carriages also run in the evening.
Attention: In case of extreme heat (30+ °C), carriage rides are not organised in order to respect the well-being of the horses.
