This work of art is a literal clash between two cultures.
We see a classical bronze sculpture, Poseidon, on which birds are resting. People who look a little closer discover that these are not ordinary pigeons, but lacquered eel ducks. In this way, the artist Xu Zhen plays with mutual prejudices and stereotypes of East and West.
