The Belle Epoque Centre
The Belle Epoque centre introduces you to the past glory of the Belle Epoque, an era between 1870 and 1914 in which the European bourgeoisie enjoyed reasonable prosperity.
Three villas of the Belle Epoque, dating from 1894, have been restored and transformed into a visitor centre. Here you can discover the carefree and festive atmosphere that prevailed in Blankenberge during the Belle Epoque period.
An interactive exhibition of posters, postcards, games, clothing, photos and film material tells a nostalgic story. Admire also some beautiful examples of decorative wall tiles and discover what the influence of Art Nouveau in Blankenberge meant.
